WATERS EDGE CIVIC ASSOCIATION- Board Meeting 5/26/24
Attendance: Fred Foelsch, Lori Foelsch, Donna Giacalone, Marie Marino
· The board members discussed the No Left Turn issue and the petition. The members of WECA will be given an update at the next meeting.
· The benches are back in place for the season. New plaques have been put on the benches.
· Block party is still being worked on. We need insurance. We have one quote, which is high. We will be shopping for other companies. There will be no alcohol served at the party. We are looking at Sept 7th for the block party, with a rain date of Sept 8th. We need to get permits from the fire Marshall, and also need to contact the police dept. and try to get fees for closing the street waived.
· Sand was placed at Temple and Sylvan Aves. Trustee Horowitz said the wheels are in motion and he is aware of our needs.
· The steps onto the beach at Temple were repaired by Fred.
· The website is still in the works. We will ask David for an update.
· Kathy Jager sent out a condolence card to the Pierro family for the passing of Lorraine Pierro.
· We are thinking of using a trail cam at the lot by Temple Ave beach for surveillance of the bench. There is a cost involved. We will take a vote.
The meeting was closed.
Our general membership meeting will take place Sunday, June 2nd at 10:30 am on the 141 Temple Ave lot. We will collect dues and accept new members at that time.
